Another event held by Chindi, this time in conjunction with Chichester’s renowned Woodies Wine Bar and Brasserie in St Pancras.
The venue was packed for an evening of wine tasting courtesy of Mason & Mason wine merchants, food tasters from Woodies extensive menu and readings from four Chindi author volunteers, who bravely stood up and each read a passage from their books. Jeremy Good, Helen Christmas, John O’Halloran and Christopher Joyce all entertained and intrigued the audience with their different genres; from romance and WW2 based thrillers, to magical mythology and friendly creature adventures.

- Helen Christmas Reading An Extract From Her Novel ‘Beginnings’
- Christopher Joyce Reading An Extract From His Book ‘The One About The Curious Cloud’
- John T O’Halloran Reading An Extract From His Novel ‘The Second Conflict’
In true Chindi tradition it was a great opportunity for these and other Chindi authors to mix and chat with people from all walks of life about writing, and in particular self-publishing. There is certainly a vibrant interest in Chichester for learning more about the do’s & don’ts, and the how’s and wherefore’s of becoming an independent author, and if the tremendous response to this evening is anything to go by, we’ll certainly be doing lots more such events in the future, so do keep an eye out.
